In Australia and New Zealand, the Institute dedicates itself primarily to furthering the educational development of Master of Wine students in the region and to providing educational opportunities to the greater wine trade.
The annual residential seminar in Melbourne, organised principally by Australasian Masters of Wine, is one of the Institute's main educational vehicles and is one of five annual seminars that it runs accross the globe. The Institute also organises Course Days (one-day programs) for current students to enable them to refresh their skills.
