The Istituto Grandi Marchi was established by some of Italy's most prestigious wineries to promote the culture and commercialisation of high quality Italian wine on world markets. Members include such renowned producers as Biondi Santi, Pio Cesare, Tenuta San Guido, Masi, Alois Lageder, Jermann, Donnafugata, and Marchesi Antinori.
We are delighted to welcome Marchese Piero Antinori, President of the Istituto Grandi Marchi, to host this spectacular seminar and tasting. It will begin with a panel discussion of the current challenges and opportunities for the Italian wine industry. This will be followed by a tasting of 49 wines from the IGM members, including their latest releases as well as older vintages.
This is a first class opportunity to update your knowledge of the current issues facing Italian wine and to sample a wide range of wines from among the country's finest producers, including Antinori's Solaia, Tenuta San Guido's Sassicaia, Biondi Santi's Brunello Villa Poggio Salvi, Donnafugata's Ben Rye, Masi's Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, and Pio Cesare's Barolo Ornato.
