  1. The MW Examination 2014: successful Dissertations

    A précis for each of the six successful Dissertations submitted in 2014 by candidates for the Master of Wine Examination. The Dissertation, which was the third part of the Master of Wine Examination, has now been replaced (as of the 2015 Examination round) by the Research Paper.

  5. Top wines and rising stars shine in first-ever Institute tasting of American Cabernets

    The Institute of Masters of Wine (North America) organized their first broad survey tasting of American Cabernet on 30 June 2014 in San Francisco. Modeled on the Institute’s Claret Tasting, American MWs gathered over 80 different producers to show their top wines to an appreciative audience at San Francisco’s Ferry Building. The tasting featured an uncommon range of wines, with both top producers and rising stars represented.
