    The Institute of Masters of Wine’s 8th International Symposium, which is the largest event in the 60 year history of the Institute, was declared open in Florence this afternoon by Dario Nardella, Mayor of Florence.

  6. First Ever MW Master Class in France

    The Institute of Masters of Wine, in partnership with AXA Millésimes and Louis Jadot, is delighted to confirm a unique master class to introduce French wine professionals to the Master of Wine qualification. Delegates at the event, which takes place from 10 to 12 June at Domaine de l’Arlot in Burgundy, will participate in a series of tastings, workshops and tutorials aimed at preparing them for the Institute’s Study Programme.

  7. Madame Bollinger Foundation becomes Institute Principal Supporter

    The Institute of Masters of Wine is delighted to announce that the Madame Bollinger Foundation has become a Principal Supporter of the Institute. The Madame Bollinger Foundation, which was previously a Major Supporter, joins AXA Millésimes, the Austrian Wine Marketing Board, and Waitrose as a Principal Supporter.

  8. William Fèvre becomes Institute Supporter

    The Institute of Masters of Wine is happy to announce that William Fèvre has become an official Supporter of the Institute. William Fèvre was founded in 1959 and has become one of the most recognisable names in Chablis. A domaine that includes 15ha in Grand Cru, it has developed a global reputation. In 1998, William Fèvre became part of Maisons et Domaines Henriot.

  9. Institute of Masters of Wine gears up for biggest Symposium ever

    The Institute of Master of Wine‘s 8th International Symposium, which is being held in Florence from 15th to 18th May, will be the largest ever. The Institute have confirmed that the Symposium already has over 400 delegates, from more than 30 countries, attending the event, which is open to all wine professionals with a serious interest in the future of our industry. 124 Masters of Wine will be present, which is also a new record.

  10. Plantagenet Wines’ Chief Winemaker wins 2014 Lallemand Bursary

    The Institute of Masters of Wine and Lallemand are delighted to announce that Cath Oates, of Mount Barker, Western Australia, has won the 2014 Lallemand Bursary. The bursary, established in 2010, is open to students in the Institute’s study programme and provides a fully-funded place at the Institute’s 8th International Symposium, which is taking place in Italy for the first time in May.
