Primum Familiae Vini

Prinum Familiae Vini

Primum Familiae Vini, also known as PFV, is an international association of some of the world's finest wine producing families from France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain, the 'Leading Wine Families'.

PFV was created in 1992 and membership is by invitation only, with a maximum of 12 highly respected families contributing generations of expertise. PFV members aim to defend and promote the traditions and values of family owned wine companies, and ensure that such ideals survive and prosper for future generations.

Currently, eleven of the world’s Leading Wine Families make up the association. Each family owns vineyard estates, is one of its country’s most prestigious producers, and enjoys an international reputation for its wines.

Each year in turn, a member of the association is elected President. The 2016/2017 President is Egon Muller.

A single ambition unites them all: A passion for the pursuit of excellence. It is this, that enables them, using their collective expertise, to create the next generation of fine wines.
