IMW

Symposia

Every four years we hold an international symposium. Our aim is to provide an independent forum which brings together the leading decision makers and opinion formers in the global wine community to discuss the topical issues that confront the industry today, as well as those that may arise in the future.

Forging Links in Bordeaux

From 24 to 27 June 2010, 300 delegates from 31 different countries gathered in Bordeaux for the Institute's seventh symposium, Forging Links. Attendees represented all aspects of the wine industry and participated in a series of panel discussions, debates, and tastings with leading figures from the world of wine. The event aimed to challenge the way we think and communicate about wine and was designed to enable all involved to share experiences and ideas to build a community of wine professionals with a common commitment to the future development of the art, science and business of wine.
