About the Symposium
Florence 2014 - Information for delegates
The 2014 Symposium is now sold out. If you are joining us in Florence, you can download a PDF version of the full programme from the Programme page.
All plenary sessions will take place in the Palazzo dei Congressi complex. The three dinners will be held in the Palazzo Corsini, a short walk from the centre of Florence; wineries in the Tuscan countryside outside Florence; and the Antinori nel Chianti Classico winery at Bargino.
Dress code for the evening events is smart; jacket and tie for men. Please be aware that there is limited time available to change into evening clothes after the final auditorium session on each day. Black tie is not required for the gala dinner at the Antinori nel Chianti Classico winery.
Buses for the winery dinners, and the dinner at Bargino, will leave from the Palazzo dei Congressi at the times stated in the programme. Allocations for buses and wineries will be displayed at Reception in the Palazzo dei Congressi.
Coffee breaks have been built into the programme. Please take advantage of these breaks as an opportunity to meet the speakers and your fellow delegates.
If you have questions or require assistance, the Reception desk at the Palazzo dei Congressi will be staffed at all times. Staff from the Institute of Masters of Wine’s Executive Office will be present, and will be introduced to you at the first opportunity. Otherwise please ask the hostesses for assistance.
Please wear your badges at all times when attending all Symposium events.
