Hillebrand Gori becomes a supporter of the Institute of Masters of Wine

The Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) is pleased to announce that Hillebrand Gori has joined their international supporter community. Hillebrand Gori is a leading logistics provider to the wine, beer and spirits industry and the first logistics company to become an IMW supporter.
This supporter agreement aims to benefit all facets of the Institute, from its members and its students through to the executive team. Hillebrand Gori have the means and know-how to deliver wines for IMW events efficiently, sustainably and with the utmost care. Their support will also strengthen our understanding of wine logistics, as an important element of the wine industry as a whole and enhance the knowledge that students and MWs need to have in this specialist area.
Julian Gore-Booth said: “I am delighted that the IMW is recognising a logistics company as a supporter of the Institute. With the rising cost and complexity of moving wine around the world it is important that we understand this area of the wine industry in detail. Partnering with Hillebrand Gori, a company well known for its understanding of the intricacies of the wine supply chain and how to preserve product quality in transit, is a no-brainer. They are well known for their experience and expertise in wine logistics which will certainly enrich our institute.”
Dominique von Orelli, CEO Hillebrand Gori – a DHL company, has commented on the supporter agreement: “We are delighted to support IMW and its members. We recognize the value and the role that this organisation plays in promoting wine education, research, and professionalism within the wine industry. Our job is to make logistics easy for everyone, with care for the product and the environment. It will be our privilege to carefully transport their wines for seminars and events and sharing in the extensive wine knowledge that the IMW community will bring to us.”

About the Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW)
The IMW is a membership organisation with an exceptional international reputation. For almost 70 years, its members – the Masters of Wine (MWs) – have been at the forefront of leadership and expertise in the world of wine. The IMW’s mission is to promote excellence, interaction and learning across all sectors of the global wine community. MWs prove their comprehensive understanding of wine by passing the MW exam, recognised worldwide for its rigour and exacting standards. In addition to passing the exam, members must sign the code of conduct before they are entitled to use the initials MW. This requires them to uphold the highest standards of commercial conduct within the industry. Today, there are 413 Masters of Wine working in 31 countries. The membership encompasses winemakers, sommeliers, buyers, journalists, shippers, consultants, viticulturalists, academics, educators and more. There are 349 students from 40 countries in the 2022-23 MW study programme. The IMW works with 38 supporters and four research and industry associates, who help promote the IMW’s mission. The five principal supporters are Austrian Wine, AXA Millésimes, Champagne Bollinger, Constellation Brands and VSPT Wine Group.
