Anne Krebiehl MW, German-born but London-based, is a widely published freelance wine writer. In 2023, she became editor for Germany, Alsace, Austria and Grower Champagne for Vinousmedia.com. In 2021, she launched Falstaff International and was its editor-in-chief until its merger with another title in 2022.

Prior to that she was contributing editor for Austria, Alsace, Burgundy and England for US Wine Enthusiast. She publishes widely, lectures on her specialisms (Pinot Noir, Riesling and traditional method sparkling wines.) and is a panel chair at the International Wine Challenge.

She completed her WSET Diploma in 2010 and became a Master of Wine in 2014 with a thesis on the future of Premium German Pinot Noir. She has harvested and helped to make wine in New Zealand, Germany and Italy.

Her first book, "The Wines of Germany", published by Infinite Ideas, won the Domaine Faiveley International Wine Book Of The Year 2020 award at the Louis Roederer International Wine Writers’ Awards. In her own time, Anne loves to swim, garden and entertain.

In November 2023, Anne was named Wine Communicator of the Year by the International Wine and Spirit Competition.
