Conal Gregory is an international Wine Consultant, global commentator on wine, judge and blender. For over 15 years he was Panel Chairman of the International Wine Challenge and was formerly Chairman of The International Wine & Spirit Competition. His books include 'The Cognac Companion' and 'The Caterer's Guide to Drinks'. He has been awarded both the Mercier Champagne Scholarship and Scotch Whisky Association Prize. He contributes to The Scotsman and Yorkshire Post and has written for The Times and Telegraph Group. For his financial writing, Conal Gregory was Regional Journalist of the Year, awarded by Headline Money, Bradford & Bingley, British Insurance Brokers' Association and the Association of Investment Companies. Conal Gregory has lectured at both Leith's School of Food & Wine and the Tante Marie School of Cookery and was the wine presenter on ITV's The Food Programme. He was MP for York 1983-1992 during which time he secured more Private Members' Bills onto the statute book than any other MP. He consults to leading airlines, cruise companies and train operators.
