Introduced to wine while a student working for Lennon’s off-licence chain in the North West in the late 1970s. Wine career started in earnest in 1982 at The Sunday Times Wine Club / Bordeaux Direct (now Laithwaites Wine) then moving onto Grants of St. James’s / Matthew Clark until 1996. Joined Champagne Laurent-Perrier UK as National Account Manager becoming UK MD in December 1999, a role performed until September 2021 on taking semi-retirement. Currently working as a consultant to a range of companies including Champagne Laurent-Perrier and LeBlanq, the latter managing to combine two great passions: wine and cycling.
