Introductory course: Napa

25 - 26 March 2019 , 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM  |

As part of its annual calendar of outreach events, the IMW organises a variety of workshops and introductory classes to interested participants. The focus at these events is to introduce both its study programme and its examination by showcasing the MW approach to wine tasting and theory topics in a practical and relevant way.

A number of MWs will be leading the programme, including Peter Marks MW, Nova Cadamatre MW and Mark de Vere MW. They will explain the MW approach to the examination syllabus with a special focus on the writing and tasting skills required to become a Master of Wine. The class will include several tastings of different wines from different regions of the world. Attendees will visit the Robert Mondavi Winery and have dinner there on 25 March.

Attendees who are eligible to join the MW study programme will be given the chance to apply online for the study programme in June 2019, at a discounted rate from the normal application fee.
