Trip selection process

Once the ballot closes, all the names are randomised and then assigned a random number, from an online number generator. This then gives us a list in numerical order. For example, a trip has 20 places and 60 Members have applied. After the names have been randomised and a random number has been generated for each Member, the names from 1 to 20 have a place on the trip. The names from 21 to 60 make up the waiting list.
