  4. Austrian Wine Academy continues strategic partnership with IMW

    The IMW is pleased to announce the 2017 European MW Study Programme Residential Seminar will continue to be held at the Austrian Wine Academy. Based in Rust, the Academy is the largest wine school in Europe. The Academy has hosted the MW Seminar for the past 13 years, and nearly 500 students have started their MW journey there.

  5. Jane Masters MW elected Chairman of the Institute of Masters of Wine

    Jane Masters MW has been elected the Chairman of the Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW). Jane, who is the 53rd Chairman of the Institute, became a Master of Wine (MW) in 1997. She is an international winemaking consultant and runs her own business, Mastering Wine.

    88 people have heard today that they have been accepted onto the Institute’s worldwide study programme. They come from 26 countries, and will be offered the option of attending a Master of Wine seminar in Australia, Austria, or the United States. The highest proportion of applicants came from North America, followed by the UK, Hong Kong and China.

    Students on the Master of Wine Study Programme have received their results from the Stage 1 Assessment. Over 70 percent of those students have passed and have been invited to move to Stage 2 of the Study Programme.
