2023 Quinta do Noval award holder Joshua Grainer MW hosted by estate

Joshua Grainer MW, managing director and winemaker for RdV Vineyards in Virginia, last year’s recipient of the Quinta do Noval Award for the best dissertation from the 2023 cohort of MWs, recently visited the Quinta. As well as a cheque and a case of mixed wines and ports from Quinta do Noval, Joshua and his wife were treated to a weekend at the Quinta itself. They visited in May this year, touring the vineyards and tasting the wine range of wines and vintage ports, as well as having a chance to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Joshua said: “My wife Sarah and I had high expectations, but we were absolutely blown away by the wines, estate, and team. The experience has made us fans for life and we are singing our praises to everyone that we can. Thank you for curating such a wonderful memory for us, we are most grateful and feel especially fortunate to have experienced such a remarkable terroir.”
