Heidi began her career as a cook, completed her sommelier education in 2009, and worked as a sommelier for five years before transitioning into wine education in 2013.
For ten years, she managed the wine programs at the Culinary Academy of Norway, and she continues to teach both the sommelier curriculum and the WSET Diploma. She also enjoys running courses focused on food‑and‑wine pairing for enthusiasts and connoisseurs. During her years as a sommelier, she competed in numerous competitions and earned medals in both the Norwegian and Nordic sommelier championships.
