Mary is a prominent American wine educator, wine writer and author. She owns International Wine Center in New York City, a leading school for consumers and wine professionals that was founded in 1982. She introduced the WSET curriculum to Americans in 1994, earning her school the distinction of being America's first WSET school. Mary is a prolific author and writer: she has co-authored (with Ed McCarthy) the best-selling 'Wine for Dummies' and seven other wine books; has been a wine columnist for the NY Daily News; and has served as a wine columnist for several trade publications, in addition to her ongoing consumer wine writing.
