Michelle is a dual Italian/Canadian citizen who left corporate life in Toronto moving to London (UK) to pursue her passion for wine. Today she is a highly-respected wine lecturer, having taught wine industry professionals since 2004 at the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) in London where she a consultant tutor. She has authored articles on wines, wine regions and wine-related events in trade publications and WSET journals. Michelle is a frequent wine expert at major wine shows including Vinitaly, The London Wine Trade Fair, The France Show, Taste of London and the Real Food Show. She has been interviewed and featured in BBC Breakfast, Cooked.com, uk.glam.com , the Food and Wine section of the Independent newspaper and featured in The Shift column of the i newspaper. Michelle is a judge for Decanter, the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) and has judged other international competitions including the International Wine Challenge, South Africa's Veritas and ABSA Pinotage Top Ten competitions, Spain's Bacchus Competition, Every Day Bordeaux, and Roussillon's Saint-Bacchus Awards. In addition to lecturing and judging, Michelle consults to restaurants, wineries and is an ambassador to trade bodies utilising her specialist knowledge of wine areas which include Italy, South Africa, North America and Bordeaux and Bourgogne.
