Join Steve Smith MW, Master of Wine since 1996, as he brings the 2020 vintage of the Pyramid Valley wines to London in October.

Pyramid Valley has had somewhat of a cult status within New Zealand wine, leading the biodynamic and natural wine movement, establishing the incredible Waikari vineyard in North Canterbury, one of the coolest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyards on the planet and with rare clay limestone soils, producing some incredible and at times eccentric wines. The 2020 vintage is the first full vintage under the new ownership of Brian Sheth and Steve Smith MW and represents a real look into the future of one of the world’s most incredible Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyards, under Steve’s leadership and Huw Kinch’s winemaking. He will also talk about the new verified origin project he has been involved in with Oritain, marking a world first in verifying the origin and provenance of fine wine.

Steve will be at 67 Pall Mall London between 12 noon and 4pm on the afternoon of October 31st 2022 and extends an invitation to the Institute of Masters of Wine community and fine wine trade to a casual tasting of these wines prior to the Bordeaux Tasting and Awards Ceremony on November 1st. Members are welcome to turn up at any time during this window.
