Jackson Family Wines renew support for the Institute of Masters of Wine

The Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) confirms Jackson Family Wines (JFW) has renewed its contract as a Supporter of the Institute.

JFW first joined the IMW’s global family of Supporters in 2013. Jane Masters MW, Chairman of the IMW said: “JFW has been an active Supporter of the Institute from the day they joined us. They organised a lunch at our International Symposium in Florence in 2014, received a large group of MWs at their Yangarra vineyard in McLaren Vale last year and host our students during the Study Programme Seminar in San Francisco every year. We are delighted they will remain part of our Supporter family.”

JFW is a family-owned company that crafts award-winning wines of distinct character and quality. With a focus on sustainable viticulture practices, responsible vineyard and natural resource management, the family’s portfolio comprises more than 40 wineries.

In addition to their acclaimed California producers, JFW includes fine wines from France, Chile, Italy and Australia. Founded in 1982 by wine pioneer, entrepreneur and philanthropist Jess Jackson, JFW and its various wineries are led by Chairman and Proprietor Barbara Banke and the Jackson family.

Barbara Banke (pictured above with Adrian Garforth MW, Vice Chairman of the IMW), said: “We are pleased to be continuing our sponsorship with the IMW for another three years. We have a longstanding commitment to education and believe that our mission — to make the world’s best wines, from the best vineyards, crafted by hand with integrity – corresponds with the Institute’s promotion of excellence, interaction and learning across all sectors of the global wine community.”
