Joined Sotheby's in 1978 as administrative assistant in the Wine Department. 1980-83 Assistant Buyer with John Sarson & Son of Leicester. 1983-1990 Wine Buyer for J. Sainsbury plc in London. 1990 started Lane and Tatham with Robin Lane (also ex Avery's and Sainsburys) as wine brokers and agents. 2005 sold the business to the PLB Group Ltd .
