In passing the MW IN 1998, I became the first medical doctor to achieve the credential. In the interim, I’ve been very active in the IMW as a mentor (with many mentees passing), examiner, IMWNA board member, course educator, and member of the trips committee. I have travelled around the world of wine extensively with friends and colleagues these past couple of decades. Now retired, I have recently begun a YouTube channel, Dr. Pat Farrell Master of Wine, that celebrates wine, food, cooking, health and travel. During the past 8 years, I have been active as an educator and influencer on the following three YouTube channels: Wine King; Dr. Pat Farrell, Master of Wine; and most recently The Soul of Wine. In total, YouTube videos in which I have appeared have garnered more than six million views. Viewership has been international, including South Korea, the United States, western Europe and Australia. I live in Huntington Beach, California with the love of my life, Bernadette.
