After graduating in History at Cambridge University, I spent 3 years trading commodities in the City of London before I learned the error of my ways and moved into a much more interesting commodity; wine. Industry experience in various positions at Grants of St James?s, Hatch Mansfield and Private Liquor Brands. Passed the MW in 1994 and then decided to travel the wine world. Vintages worked in California, and in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. There I stayed to marry a Kiwi winemaker, my wife Elise. NZ career has been varied, working in Import and Distribution, in Marketing, in Export Sales. Now self employed as a Wine business Development Consultant with global contacts and business relationships into the US, UK, China, Australia, S. America and Asia. Field of expertise is in the wines of NZ, Australia and South America. Main business is in working with Importer/Distributors and premium Producers, to achieve suitable supply, sales and distribution solutions.
