IMW supporter, E. & J. Gallo Winery, is offering up to twenty MW students a structured learning experience in Modesto, California just prior to the Stage two North American seminar in Napa.
Students will have the opportunity to learn about Gallo’s approach to viticulture and winemaking in the Central Valley as well as insights into QA/QC, sales and marketing. This program is offered as a partnership between the IMW and Gallo to provide a unique educational opportunity to MW students.
The program begins Thursday evening (9 February) in Modesto for dinner at Galletto restaurant with two Gallo marketing executives. Friday begins early with a series of presentations from Gallo leadership in viticulture, winemaking and QAQC. Following that, there will be a tour of the bottling line in Modesto and a visit to one of Gallo’s vineyards and wineries in Livingston. Nicholas Paris MW, Gallo’s Director of Wine and Spirits education, will be leading the trip.
Students will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrations will close once the trip is full.
