Description

Maison Albert Bichot is inviting 8 MW students to visit their principal domaines in Burgundy, France.

Students will have the opportunity to visit Albert Bichot’s principal domaines – Domaine Long-Depaquit in Chablis, Domaine du Pavillon in the Côte de Beaune and Domaine du Clos Frantin in Nuits-St-Georges. The trip will be hosted by Delphine de la Fouchardière from Albert Bichot and Richard Bampfield MW, and will also include tastings and visits with Bichot’s winemakers, as well as the vineyard manager, who has overseen the conversion of some of the vineyards to organic viticulture.

The program will begin in Beaune around 14:00 on Wednesday 15 February. The trip is expected to close in Chablis around 15:00 on Friday 17 February. Students who are allocated to the trip are advised to wait for trip organisers to confirm the program before booking any travel.

Students will need to pay for their own travel, extras and accommodation. Albert Bichot will cover all meals and on the ground costs while the group is in Burgundy.

If you are interested in joining the group, please submit a few sentences explaining what you would hope to get out of the trip.

If you have any questions about the trip, please direct them to Richard Bampfield MW.
