For almost 20 years, Maison Albert Bichot have offered a study visit to Burgundy for a group of MW students – and are once again looking forward to receiving a group in 2024. The visit will take place from the 6-8 March, the week before Prowein in case that helps with travel plans.
The three days will include visits and tastings at the domaines owned by Albert Bichot in the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune and Chablis. There will be ample opportunity to talk with the company’s winemakers and viticulturalists, and the tour will be accompanied by Richard Bampfield MW, who has worked closely with Bichot for many years.
It is likely that there will be space for up to 10 students on the visit. Students will be expected to make their own way to Beaune and back and to pay for their own accommodation which will be organised (at reasonable cost) by Albert Bichot. Whilst in Burgundy, travel, wines, lunch and dinner will be provided by Albert Bichot.
If you would be interested in joining the group, please apply via the register button above, detailing your current role in wine and adding a small paragraph indicating why the visit would be valuable for you.
