We are delighted to announce that Symington Family Estates, with Quinta do Noval (from the AXA Millésimes group) and the Fladgate Partnership are once again hosting the popular MW student trip to Porto and the Douro Valley.

17 spaces are available for the trip. Places will be allocated based on the information provided in your application and will be chosen by Symington Family Estates. Trip expenses are funded by the host however students will be required to arrange their own travel to and from Porto and pay an IMW trip fee of approximately £350. The exact fee will be confirmed when spaces are offered.

Applications close 5 January and successful applicants will be notified in the new year.

7 April
All day with the Fladgate Partnership

8 April
08:30 – Visit and Tasting at FH
10:00 – Visit and Tasting at Graham’s
12:30 – Vinum lunch
PM – departure to Malvedos
Dinner and Overnight at Malvedos

9 April
Departure Quinta do Bomfim
Visit to Qta do Bomfim and Lecture by Fernando Alves
Early lunch at Bomfim 1896
PM – departure to Quinta da Nogueira
Stay with the Fladgate Partnership

10 April
AM with the Fladgate Partnership
Lunch and visit at Qta do Noval

Arrival
Students will need to make their own arrangements to/from Porto. The trip officially starts with dinner on the 7 April however students are welcome to arrive earlier in the day for a visit to the World of Wine.

Departure
Students can depart from approximately 14:30 on Thursday 10 April after lunch. There will be a transfer to Porto airport at 14:30 which will take approximately two and a half hours. It is not recommended that you book flights earlier than 18:00 as the lunch takes place outside of Porto and the bus may not arrive back to Porto in time.

Eligibility
The trip is open to all current students, although places are strictly limited. Places will be allocated based on the information provided in your application and will be chosen by Symington Family Estates.
